Born in 1972, Bobby grew up in terrible poverty on a sugar cane farm in Saint Johns County, Florida with his mother and older
sister. His absent father owned a gas station and his mother, suffering from bi-polar disorder and substance abuse, was
unable to properly care for her children. Bobby began to seek out the attention and affection he hadn't received yet
desperately needed as a child. Running away from home at age 12 he became vandal, womanizer and deviant. During this
time, he began selling and using drugs. At age 14 Bobby returned home to his mother and fell into a deep depression. Rather
than slipping deeper into self destruction bobby found an outlet for his pain. He began to write. He let all his turbulent feelings
flow though pen to paper. In doing this, he found the strength to walk away from the self destructive behavior of his youth.

Bobby placed himself into foster care in 1986. For the next 3 years he was bounced from one foster family to another. During
these formative years of adolescence, bobby stopped using drugs and drinking. He stopped womanizing as well, adopting a
feminist view of women and gaining a great respect for them. He wanted family and home. When he was almost 18 he met
Bridget and eagerly started a life with her. They were married six months from the day of their 1st date.

Bobby was driven to better his life and himself. He moved to North Carolina where he continued his education and became an
expert in tropical fish. Soon after, he was published as a writer. Writing included essays for The Aquatic Society, The
Independent Weekly, and The Reader’s Digest. He was also published in a few local poetry magazines. Bobby parleyed his
knowledge of tropical fish into a job with Wal-Mart as a regional training manager, teaching stores how to keep their fish alive.
Simultaneously Bobby ran his own tank cleaning business, and worked for The Aquatic Society. None of this “Success” made
him happy though and he left his 70k+ a year work realizing that success didn’t equal happiness. After taking a job as a pet
store manager and he was able to spend more time with his wife they both realized they had nothing in common and the
marriage fell apart.

Leaving all his possessions behind his wife dropped him off on the side of the road in Saint Augustine, where he started over.
Leaving aquariums and fish behind Bobby worked in several part time low paying jobs in retail, one of which was at a store
selling dinnerware. This is where he met Andrea. They became friends, fell in love, made a home together and have been
blissfully together for over a decade. Her love, friendship, and support have helped him to finally attain a peace which was
completely alien to him in his life previous.

After 27 years of habitual daily writing in December 2006 Bobby put down his pen and picked up a brush. Having no formal
training, Bobby's self taught art is raw and unique. It does all the things great art should do, evoke emotion and define the
artist as a person. Behind every stroke is the pain and joy that is Bobby B. Every Painting is naïve yet powerful, fun yet bitter,
colorful and blissfully weird. They are Bobby.
